Can’t keep up with the home repairs

I also learned that the house needed a current roof.

When I obtained my home in the Jacksonville, FL, area, I had no experience with ownership. In the past, I had typically rented apartments. If I needed repairs, I simply contacted the landlord or repair department. Regular upkeep, grass care and all the necessary tasks were taken care of without any effort, expense or worry. I spent three months touring properties for sale before falling in savor with an older home right along the St. Johns River. The house and surrounding house were much more than I needed. However, I couldn’t resist the wide front porch, large window, large back deck and terraced gardens. I was glad by the cobblestone driveway, intricate roofline and hardwood floors. Once I moved in, I discovered that the heating and cooling costs were astronomical. I couldn’t afford to keep the home perfectly comfortable. The summer time humidity caused much of the woodwork to warp and resulted in mold and mildew growth. The roof leaked and led to water stains on the ceilings and crumbling walls. I couldn’t keep up with the landscaping and the gardens gradually became overrun with weeds. It was frustrating trying to watch the house and house steadily decline. I simply could manage the endless and expansive repair tasks. When anything broke, I couldn’t afford to repair it. I realized that the home was suddenly losing value. A home inspection revealed a long list of requirements. I was informed that the HVAC, septic and electrical panel wouldn’t pass building codes. I also learned that the house needed a current roof. Rather than list the house through conventional methods, I decided to go with a currency home buyer. This allowed me to skip inspections, repairs, realtor fees and huge closing costs. I was able to unload the house suddenly and get a fair price.
