A little over a year ago, I inherited a apartment in CO Springtimes, then although I had never been to the area, I was excited by the occasion.
- I had only met my Uncle once and was surprised that she left me her house! When I visited, I was not glad by the condition of the property.
The apartment was severely rundown. The roof had obviously been leaking for quite some time and caused considerable water harm to the ceilings, walls and floors. There was mold growth, a musty smell and signs of rodent infestation. All of the appliances were ancient and in need of replacement. There were various broken windows and I knew the electrical panel, plumbing and Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C would never meet code requirements, then plus, there was a considerable amount of junk and garbage inside and outside of the house. I could barely walk through some of the rooms. I was not interested in keeping the house. I had no desire to sink time and money into cleaning and repairs. I also had no idea how to sell the apartment in its new condition. A acquaintance of mine recommended finding a money apartment buyer, but since I live out of state, I was not sure how to handle the process. The money apartment customer I spoke with was super helpful and knowledgeable; My associate and I worked everything out via SMS and were able to schedule a virtual tour of the house. They offered an offer on the apartment in “as-is” condition. I didn’t even need to clean out the garbage. They also worked on the paperwork so that everything proceeded smoothly and hastily.
